About me
Hi, I'm Sarah, I am a psychodynamic counsellor which means I work to help people understand their past and how it can affect their future.
I can help people with a wide range of human difficulties, by creating a safe space where people can explore problems, questions and decisions about their lives.
I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and how this can, over time, empower people to find their own answers. I sit with people when they are feeling stuck, unsure or in a dark place, and help to tolerate the mess of life.
Together, can find new ways to think about it.
If you are ready to get started, please contact me via email, or leave a message on the phone number provided. I will be able to arrange a suitable time to have a short conversation with you on the phone to discuss how best to move forward.
Once you feel happy to proceed, we can arrange an initial assessment session which will last up to 1.5 hours, and if you decide you would like to continue seeing me, we will arrange a regular day and time to meet once weekly.
I welcome any questions you may have.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a degrees in Psychology and Teaching, as well as a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling.
I am an experienced practitioner, having worked with many people, across different environments.
Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
