Life can sometimes feel so overwhelming, you may be feeling lost and alone, struggling to navigate some life changes, grieving the loss of a loved one or just feel stuck in un-helpful patterns and not yourself. I can help you, you don't need to have it figured out, we can work through it together. I work with a range of circumstances including, low mood, self-esteem, loss, bereavement, life & cancer, anger, self harm, and have supported people who have experienced trauma and abuse.
I can offer you a confidential space where we can work at your pace and begin to build a trusting relationship where you feel heard and connected. Together we can work toward making any changes in order for you to feel more in control of your life or just moving forward in a better direction where you can feel happier.
I bring warmth, compassion and acceptance to every session and a commitment to help you to understand your challenges by holding and supporting you throughout each session with what you bring or discover along the way.
Training, qualifications & experience
My experience
I work as a volunteer for Cruse Bereavement Support, providing emotional support and guidance to people coping with the death of a relative, friend or colleague. I also have direct experience with loss of a partner, navigating life as a widow and single parenting teenage children with varying mental health challenges.
I was lucky enough to be recruited as a volunteer counsellor for number 22 a charity based in Maidenhead & Windsor providing in-person counselling to the community. During this time I have worked with short and long-term clients with a range of mental health needs, including, anxiety & depression, anger, self harm, suicide, domestic abuse, relationship problems, coercive control, cancer & chronic illness, baby loss, bereavement and provided adult support for emotional based school refusal.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
