About me

My name is Sara and welcome to Finding You Therapy, I am based in Odiham Hampshire and Basingstoke. 

At Finding You Therapy, my aim is to offer a compassionate and personalised counselling experience for people of all ages. Through an integrative approach, I adapt my methods to suit your individual needs, creating a safe and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, grow in self-awareness, and begin the journey toward healing. As a registered MBACP counsellor, I am committed to working ethically and supporting you with care and understanding.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

My qualifications include a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a Level 5 Diploma in Counselling Young People. Additionally, I am a registered SandStory Therapist, qualified at both Level 1 and Level 2

I am an integrative counsellor who provides a safe and confidential environment in which clients can feel seen, heard, and able to express what has previously remained unspoken. My integrative training encompasses several modalities — Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred, and Transactional Analysis — allowing me to adapt my therapeutic approach to each client’s individual needs.

As part of my commitment to ongoing professional and personal development, I have undertaken the following training:

  • Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) training - Hampshire Educational Psychology Department

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
