About me
I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental online space where you can talk openly about whatever is troubling you. As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to tell you what to do or offer advice, but to listen with empathy, acceptance and understanding, helping you explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, so I aim to build a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, heard and valued. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing, increase your self-awareness and help you find your own way forward.
I work with adults experiencing a range of issues, including anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, loss, life changes and family challenges. I also have a particular interest in supporting parents who are separated from their children or navigating complex family relationships.
I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and change when they are met with genuine understanding and acceptance. My aim is to support you in making sense of your experiences, discovering your own strengths and moving towards the life you want to live.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. My qualifications are as follows:

- BSc (Hons) Psychology
During my counsellor training I volunteered as a student counsellor at my local branch of the mental health charity Mind, and at a children's hospice supporting bereaved parents.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Following your initial contact, I will arrange for us to have a brief phone call, free of charge. This is so I can gain an idea of what support you need, and so you can ask any questions you may have about what our work together will look like. It is important for you to find a counsellor who you feel comfortable working with, and this initial call is a good first step in this process. Should you decide you do not want to have counselling with me after our initial chat, you are under no obligation to book a session with me.
Should you decide to proceed, all sessions will last for 50 minutes and be charged at £50 per session.
