About me

During this present crisis, I am offering telephone counselling as well as online counselling.

Hello, welcome my name is Sandra.

I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and psychotherapy). My down to earth but professional approach to counselling, can help you feel relaxed and at ease and is particularly powerful when helping you to express your concerns.

I offer expert help for anxiety related disorders, including panic attacks and depression. I am able to deliver a broad range of tried and tested therapeutic techniques to alleviate your anxiety, which can be triggered by work, health, relationships, loss and bereavement to name a few.

I use various therapies, CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Person Centred counselling, depending on your individual needs. In addition I have extra training for the Rewind Technique, this is useful for trauma and recurring bad memories. EFT. A tapping technique also helps to reduce stress and intrusive thoughts.  Hypnotherapy, another tool to help with various issues including confidence and low self

For some people coming to counselling for the first time can be daunting, you may feel anxious, fearful, happy, or sad a whole range of emotions. You can rest assured you will be greeted in a warm friendly way helping you to be at ease in the shortest possible time.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
