About me
My name is Sandra. I offer On-Line Counselling in all areas. One of the great advantages of therapy online is the ability to access support easily without having to travel or fit around work commitments.
I offer support for individuals individual and couples counselling I have also worked with adolescents and I have led workshops and support groups for the general public and training sessions for other counsellors and psychotherapists.
I use a psychodynamic and integrative approach, which takes into account your fullest experience of being in the world - emotional, physical, social and spiritual. Your present experience will often hold the influences of your past and the seeds of your future growth and potential.
Exploring your issues in our work together can lead you to better understand yourself and how you relate to the world and to gain insight on how you can change and grow. Besides finding the courage and resources to change, clients often feel more peaceful within and develop greater compassion for themselves and others. for more information from my private practices' based in Central Croydon.
Throughout life we can be faced with unexplained and unexpected difficulties, often becoming too difficult to encounter alone. I offer a place where we can explore together these difficulties, within a safe and supportive environment.
We can work together enabling you, the client to have a better understanding of yourself and the relationships you have both personally and work related. There is plenty of evidence suggesting that psychological therapy works
Counselling is not about giving advice. It is to enable you, the client to find your own path to address the cause of the problem and not just treat the symptoms.
As a member of the BACP I am committed to working to their ethical codes and guidelines. This includes the rule of confidentiality where no details are given to a third party (e.g. employer doctor or anybody else).
It can often feel difficult to make that first phone call to a therapist. Once the first point of contact has be made a sense of relief from sharing difficulties will start you on your journey to a better understanding of yourself.
I appreciate that finding the right counsellor is important, we can discuss what you are looking to achieve with counselling, and discover whether you feel able and comfortable for us to work together. I offer daytime and evening appointments.
Fees
Ongoing individual therapy £50 per session.
Couples £65 per session.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
