About me
Welcome. My name is Sandra, and I am a fully qualified counsellor working in private practice.
I understand that taking the first step towards counselling can be daunting. I offer a free short phone or video call before counselling starts for us to meet each other. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have, and to find out if I’m the right counsellor for you.
I offer a warm, non-judgmental approach and a confidential environment where you can safely explore your feelings and begin to heal.
In my practice, I work with adults facing a wide range of issues. I hold a specialist interest in trauma recovery. Alongside my private work, I proudly volunteer as a counsellor for a dedicated local charity supporting survivors of trauma, sexual abuse, sexual assault and violence. This gives me insight into the complexities of post-traumatic stress, shame, and survival.
I work integratively, adapting my therapeutic technique to fit your unique needs. I can incorporate tools from CBT, Gestalt and creative exercises.
I am a professionally qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists). I love my job and see it as a privilege to support people through whatever difficulties they are facing. I find supporting women through life’s unique changes and challenges of fertility, motherhood, menopause and bereavement extremely rewarding.
Sessions are online and can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly. These are usually at the same mutually agreed day and time. Feel free to contact me with any queries you might have, or to arrange an initial call.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
