About me
I am Cambodian-born, have lived in different countries and am trilingual in English, French and Khmer. Coming into contact with people of different nationalities from a young age has made cultural diversity an integral part of my life. In my counselling work, I have been able to extend my experience to other areas of being such as neurodiversity.
As a person-centred counsellor, my fundamental premise is that we all have the potential to grow into fulfilled, authentic beings. Difficulties present themselves in life, and there are times when we need support to get through them. I offer a confidential and non-judgmental space where I will accompany you on a journey of discovery to uncover and resolve the challenges you face. The therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood and valued is widely acknowledged to be the most important factor in the successful outcome of counselling.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Diploma in person-centred Counselling and am qualified as a Bereavement Counsellor. I worked in bereavement counselling for 10 years with a diverse group of clients in age, gender, race and socio-economic background. As they explored the depths of their grief, many other painful issues and events in their lives came to the surface, abuse, abandonment, neglect, shame, loneliness, hopelessness and despair among others.
I have my own practice working with clients on a longer term basis. I also work on a freelance basis for a London university, counselling students on a short-term basis. Here the main issues are anxiety, low mood, perfectionism, self-doubt, risky behaviour, self-harm and the impact of neurodivergence on their studies.
I took a degree in Psychology earlier in my life followed by a post-graduate Diploma in Human Resources and then worked in human resources and general management. Feeling that something was missing, I went on to a Master's in Business Administration. Since this proved not to be the solution, I found my way to counselling and trained to become a counsellor. I had finally found the right place. I continue to take courses for my professional development.
I have a special interest in people who feel stuck in their jobs or in other areas of their lives or may feel too old to consider counselling. It is never too late to change and to find joy and meaning in our lives.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
