Samantha Turner
About me
My name is Samantha. I work on a one to one basis offering counselling. I have experience working with people who suffer from anxiety, depression, relationship issues, bereavement and I also work with people who are interested in personal development where a deeper awareness can come about through self-exploration.
I am an integrative therapist, meaning that I use various techniques depending on what the client needs. My belief is that people go through life with limiting patterns of behaviour that served them in the past to keep them safe. I believe these aspects of ourselves can become frozen in time due to trauma and that these parts need to learn that life has moved on and that things have changed. I use inner-child work to help my clients learn how to love and acknowledge their own inner world, so they can learn to take care of themselves over time. I also use a technique called Voice Dialogue to help my clients space out their internal world so that they can gain awareness of themselves and harvest the possibility of change.
Each session will last for 50 minutes and the cost is £50
Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified in 2008 as a Counsellor and at the same time studied Voice Dialogue (psychology of selves). Within my work I utilise different tools and skills depending on what is appropriate for each client.
Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
