About me
If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or anxious.
You're not alone.
Life can be hard, and it has its ups and downs. You may be feeling an overwhelming sadness through a bereavement or relationship breakdown, having sleepless nights due to worry.
You don't have to deal with how you feel on your own; having a space to talk can make all the difference.
I will work with you to gain an understanding of yourself and how you interact with others. Also, to gain an understanding of your issues and how to move forward.
Building on your confidence and self-esteem.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths within you that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out support and take the first steps towards change. I am here to support and empower you in that journey and work towards a more fulfilling and happier life.
I will work with you to gain an understanding of yourself and how you interact with others. Also, to gain an understanding of your issues and how to move forward.
You may feel nervous starting therapy; I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space to allow you to be open and honest and understand your feelings.
Together, we will work at your pace, one step at a time, setting goals that matter to you, whether building relationships or personal goals.
Firstly, I will offer a 15-minute phone call to make sure you understand what counselling is and that we are a positive match.
In the first session, I will complete an assessment to gain an understanding of where you are in your journey and what has brought you to counselling. I will explain about confidentiality and the limitations of this.
