About me

I offer a safe and non-judgemental space to explore your life in depth. I welcome any life experience and any issue to the space.

I specialise in working with Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse and Survivors of Domestic Abuse. I am passionate about empowering you to heal from traumatic experiences and grow in any way that works for you and your life.

Experienced in working with Survivors of sexual abuse and domestic abuse, I know I can be with you every step of the way, being with you during the darker times to help you process your thoughts and feelings, and being with you to celebrate your breakthroughs and growth and healing!

I offer Person Centred Therapy, working together to explore your life experiences through talking therapy.  For the times that words don`t come easily or it`s a struggle to connect to your experience, I work intuitively to find creative materials or relaxation techniques to aid that connection.

I will listen deeply, sharing what I`m hearing, sensing and seeing. Person Centred Therapy honours the potential for growth and healing that is present in all of us, creating the conditions needed for change rather than imposing solutions, guidance or diagnoses.

I respect that we all have our own life journeys and I welcome you wherever you are on yours.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I`m a member of BACP.

I have 9 years experience as a Person Centred Therapist, including 4 years experience counselling survivors of childhood sexual abuse at Mosaic 2, 1 years experience counselling at Bradford Cancer Support and Together Women, and 1 years experience counselling a range of issues with Betterhelp.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
