About me

Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.

I am an experienced, fully qualified integrative counsellor and a member of BACP. As an integrative counsellor I am qualified to offer a range of approaches including Personal Centred, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Mindfulness Based Approached (MBA), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Transactional Analysis (TA).

As I understand every individual is unique, the skills I have acquired allow me the flexibility to tailor a specific therapeutic approach to meet your needs and how you like to work. I have been privileged to work with children, young people and adults, suffering with many different mental health issues and have witnessed therapy to be an empowering and positive experience for many. Therapy provides an opportunity for individuals to explore personal matters in a safe, confident, non-judgemental environment. Allowing individuals to spend some time thinking about their difficult emotions. I am proficient in the therapeutic treatment of a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, panic attacks, stress, anger issues, relationship issues, health issues and neurodiversity, with extensive experience in the field of ADHD and ASD.

As a therapist, I am committed to working alongside you, exploring past and current issues and difficult emotions that may have been suppressed for a long time, offering reflection on your coping mechanisms and behaviours. In return I offer you respect, warmth, genuineness and trust at all times, with the purpose of helping you to understand your emotions and behaviours, to achieve the better self you desire.

To further my professional capabilities to helping those with ADHD, I have also recently completed further training in ADHD Awareness and ADHD Coaching, to incorporate coaching and therapy to help individuals struggling with ADHD.

Again thank you for taking the time to look at my profile and if you require any further information, I would be more than happy to help.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
