About me

Are you struggling with anxiety, depression or feeling out of sorts and feel you would benefit from having the opportunity to explore your emotions and express yourself free from judgement? It is my aim to help and support you find yourself again, I am a qualified integrative counsellor registered with the BACP. I am friendly and down to earth and aim to provide a friendly but professional counselling service. I can provide you with a caring and compassionate safe space to explore your emotions. I have lots of experience working with depression, anxiety, domestic abuse, PTSD and general welfare and low self-esteem to mention just a few. I believe there is no single way to approach emotional disturbances and so I encompass CBT, transactional analysis and person centred theories into my practice to ensure the best possible outcome for each and every client.

So, if you are struggling with general anxiety, depression or any mental health issues please feel free to get in-touch, we can work through this together at your own pace either in the comfort of my centrally based office in Stockport or via zoom or telephone. Training, qualifications & experience

I completed my counselling training at Stockport College, I have a level 4 diploma in integrative counselling. I have completed training in suicidal ideation, domestic abuse, children's and adults safeguarding, enhanced risk management and transference awareness. I have experience with working with adults from age 18 onwards. victims of domestic abuse, childhood trauma, depression and anxiety, PTSD and self-worth. I have also worked in the caring profession for over 18 years supporting women in the post natal period. Empowering women is a passion that I have followed all of my life.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Fees are £45 per hour, I offer a phone call consultation prior to committing to sessions and also offer a sliding scale for NHS staff and students.
