About me
Hello, I'm Sam, an accredited psychotherapist and counsellor working with children, adolescents and adults in North West London and online. Together, we can navigate the challenges you may be facing, whether it's stemming from a traumatic event, a complex childhood with experiences of neglect and abuse, or to work on patterns that you notice might be blocking you reaching your goals. A common thread of depression and anxiety often lead people to initiate their therapeutic journey, or perhaps you're simply seeking additional support during a phase where you don't feel quite like yourself.
Our collaborative work may focus on a specific aspect of your life for short-term intervention, or it could involve a more comprehensive exploration requiring in-depth psychotherapy to untangle your past. As an integrative transpersonal psychotherapist, I draw upon various approaches tailored to each individual, incorporating spiritual aspects into the therapeutic process as well as inner child work. I enjoy working creativity through techniques such as play, art, sand trays, visualizations, and dream work.
I offer a safe and supportive environment for you to delve into your self-discovery journey, recovering facets of yourself that may have been impacted along the way. While the path of therapy isn’t always easy, the transformative rewards make the journey worthwhile. If you feel prepared to embark on the adventure of personal growth and healing, please reach out to schedule an initial session. I'm eager to be a part of your transformative experience.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a certificate in the foundations of counselling and psychotherapy, and a diploma in counselling and psychotherapy from the Centre of Counselling and Psychotherapy education. I am UKCP accredited.
I have worked for five charities in the recent years providing therapy for domestic violence survivors, those suffering from bereavement and trauma or childhood neglect, addiction, those impacted by cancer, pregnancy crisis and with young people.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
