About me

Hello! I’m Sam, a qualified integrative counsellor based in Faversham, Kent. I'm here to offer you one-on-one support in a comforting and confidential environment.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, leaving us feeling lost or stuck. In our work together, you'll find a safe, compassionate, and empathetic space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

I have had the privilege of working with individuals facing a wide array of life and mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and issues related to self-identity. I truly believe that the most vital aspect of our work together is the relationship we build. Establishing a strong working alliance is fundamental, and I see myself as a facilitator on your journey, using my knowledge and experience to help you reach your goals.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw from a variety of practices, including person-centred, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioural approaches and Solution-Focused Therapy. My approach is all about you - flexible and centred around your unique needs. I'll tailor our sessions to suit your personality, preferences, and the specific challenges you may be encountering.

I’m here to support you in a warm and inviting environment, as I work face-to-face in my practice and have a private room for our sessions. If you're unsure about whether counselling is right for you, I invite you to a free 15-minute phone consultation, where we can discuss your needs and how I can support you.

I genuinely look forward to supporting you on your journey.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
