About me

I hold a Level 7 Diploma in Clinical Sexology and Relationship Therapy, which means I am a Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist working in a pluralistic modality. Working in a pluralistic way means I have a varied approach and have a number of ideas and interventions which I can draw upon in sessions. With my original training was as an Integrative Counsellor working with a Person Centred modality, qualifying in 2017, I have been working therapeutically since 2015.

I am a qualified member of the BACP and a professional associate member of COSRT - The College of Sex and Relationship Therapists.

My practice supports Gender, Sex and Relationship Diversity, I am Kink Affirmative and Sex Worker Allied. I welcome clients from all communities.

I do not support or practice any form of conversion therapy.

The key to the way I work is in the relationship we build with each other and I work in a person centred way which is pluralistic, meaning I have a number of training, research based interventions and ideas to draw upon. I believe that you are the expert in your own feelings and experience. Although you may not always feel that way.

There are many different reasons why you might be here, it could be a life changing event, something you've carried with you for a long time or a feeling like you need to make a change but don't know what to do or where to start.

Your reason for arriving here will be individual to you and we can explore the focus of our sessions together.

Please feel free to message me if you would like to find out more or ask any questions.

I offer a free telephone call of up to 15 minutes to discuss if we would like to work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Integrative Counselling and I completed a Level 7 Clinical Sexology and Relationship Therapy training diploma course with CICS, The Clinical Institute of Contemporary Sexology. Having completed my training and clinical hours I am awaiting certification.

My previous Volunteer Counsellor roles have been for The Enfield LGBT Network in London, MIND - based in both London and Cambridgeshire, a local young peoples organisation. I have been employed as a counsellor since qualifying and having worked for numerous well respected national and local organisations, I have a wealth of experience to draw upon.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
