About me
I am a psychotherapist who works with adults, children, young people and families. I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), ACT-based Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Person-Centred Therapy and Theraplay Informed Practice, with Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) woven throughout.
My approach is collaborative, flexible and tailored to you, offering therapy shaped around your life, values and goals.
I offer ACT-Informed ERP for anxiety conditions including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety and Phobias. This approach focuses on changing your relationship with anxiety, learning to make room for discomfort rather than fighting it, so that fear has less control over your choices. ERP is a structured, compassionate method for gradually reducing compulsions and avoidance. I have undertaken additional training in Trauma-Focused ACT and integrate this where relevant.
For adults, I offer ACT, Person-Centred Therapy and CFT as standalone approaches or blended together, depending on what fits best. At the heart of every session is genuine warmth, curiosity and self-compassion.
For children, young people and families, I integrate ACT with creative activities for younger clients, making the work accessible and engaging. For families where relationship is the focus, I offer Theraplay-Informed sessions, a play-based approach to strengthening the parent-child relationship. I also do ERP work with children and young people for anxiety conditions, using a blend of dyadic sessions and 1-2-1 sessions.
I provide an affirming space for LGBTQ+ and Neurodivergent individuals/families and People of Colour. I am currently completing a Doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy Studies at the University of Chester, researching working-class identities within therapy.
If you are interested in working together, I offer free 15 minute introductory phone calls to give you chance to ask any questions you may have, hear more about how I work and get a sense of whether I am the right match for you. Please get in touch to book.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
