About me

Every person's experiences and responses are unique. My supportive role constantly adapts to the changing needs of the individual. I offer a warm and friendly space to talk, where you can be really listened to. My role is not about telling you what to do. I work with you to explore your thoughts and feelings. Counselling will bring deeper understanding, growth, and inner resources to move forward.

I am a professional counsellor with a National Counselling Society accredited training. My approach centres around psychodynamic, person centred and humanistic forms of counselling, but I am also trained in Integrative methods, so that counselling can be tailored to suit your needs.

I increased my skills with couples through a six-month training focussing on Couple Dynamics and Relationships.

I work from home in a private room. My practice is in Moulsham, close to central Chelmsford.

An initial meeting is arranged, to discuss your requirements. This does not commit you to further counselling, but, if you wish to proceed, further sessions can be arranged, for as long as you feel it is useful to you.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) bound by its ethical guidelines for good practice. I am fully insured.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
