About me
Hello I'm Rike, thank you very much for reading my profile.
Sometimes life has this way of throwing challenges in our way that are unexpected and can leave us feeling unsettled, helpless, out of control or simply puzzled about our own feelings and thoughts.
Talking to someone in a safe and confidential space can help connect all these pieces, enable us to understand ourselves better and move forward with greater self-awareness and self-worth.
If you are looking to explore any challenges or difficulties and appreciate a warm, judgement-free and confidential space, then I may be able to help and support you.
I'm a fully qualified and accredited counsellor with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.
My main approach to counselling is person-centred, which emphasises understanding your circumstances from your perspective and helps you find your strength (again) to enjoy the life you wish to live. In addition to working person-centred, I also draw on techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, BRIEF Solution-Focussed Therapy, systemic work and creative approaches.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Degree in Social Sciences, 2007
- Currently in training to qualify as a clinical supervisor
