About me
If you're searching for help with cocaine, alcohol or gambling, or you're a man who's never quite seen therapy as your kind of thing, you're in the right place.
I'm a psychotherapist, addiction specialist and coach working exclusively with men, with practice locations in London (Kings Cross and Forest Hill) and Bristol, as well as online. I'm BACP registered (PGDip) and training in Lacanian psychoanalysis.
I specialise in addiction, particularly cocaine, alcohol and gambling, alongside shame, anger, relationship difficulties, porn use, and the pressures of male identity. A good deal of my work is with high-achievers, executives, creatives and athletes: men who are performing well externally while privately struggling, and who often feel they have the most to lose by admitting it.
My approach to addiction is grounded in harm-reduction psychotherapy, informed by Dr Marc Lewis and Dr Andrew Tatarsky. That means I don't assume abstinence is the only valid goal, or that you need a label to get support. Substance use sits on a continuum, and so does recovery. We begin from where you are.
I know therapy can feel like something that isn't for you, too vague, too soft, or too far from how you actually think. I work to make it the opposite: direct, practical, and built around what's useful to you, with no jargon and no assumptions about what your goals should be.
I offer:
- Short-term and longer-term psychotherapy
- A specialist Cocaine Misuse Programme
- Recovery coaching
- Mental health and performance coaching
- Individual and small-group work
- Sessions are available one-to-one or in small groups, in person across London and Bristol, or online via Zoom or Teams.
If you've tried therapy before and it didn't fit, or never tried it because it never felt like your thing, let's talk.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an experienced psychotherapist, addiction specialist and coach with over a decade of experience supporting individuals struggling with alcohol, cocaine, gambling and other behavioural addictions, as well as stress, burnout, anxiety, relationship difficulties and life transitions.
My professional background includes working across private practice, specialist addiction services and mental health settings in both the UK and internationally. I have worked with a diverse range of clients, including professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives and individuals working in high-pressure environments.
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Addiction Psychology and Counselling, a BA (Hons), and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
My training is integrative and draws upon a range of evidence-based approaches, including:
- Harm Reduction Psychotherapy
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Motivational Enhancement Therapy
- Mindfulness-Based Approaches
- Solution-Focused Practice
- Trauma-Informed Therapy
- Brainspotting (trained in all phases)
Alongside addiction and mental health work, I have a particular interest in men's mental health, identity, modern masculinity, performance pressure and the challenges many people face balancing success, wellbeing and relationships.
I believe therapy should be collaborative, practical and free from judgement. My approach is tailored to each individual, recognising that there is no single path to change and that meaningful progress often begins with understanding rather than criticism.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Cocaine Misuse Programme, a structured programme for men who want to address cocaine use, delivered in blocks of sessions rather than open-ended weekly therapy. It combines focused psychotherapy with practical strategies, working from where you are rather than assuming abstinence is the only goal. Suitable whether you're looking to stop, cut down, or understand the patterns underneath the use.
I also offer recovery coaching and mental health and performance coaching, available individually or as ongoing packages, alongside standard one-to-one psychotherapy.
Small-group work is available for men who'd value working alongside others facing similar challenges.
