About me
I’m Rhys, a Trauma-Informed Psychotherapist, and I specialise in working at the intersections of trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACE), and neurodivergence including ADHD.
I provide a calm, safe space where you can begin to understand yourself without judgement, a place where we can explore the patterns that may be keeping you trapped in cycles of anxiety, low mood, shame, relationship problems, addiction, obsessive-compulsive behaviours, or emotional overwhelm.
It’s not uncommon for us to learn ways to survive difficult experiences without even realising it, but those behaviours that once kept you safe and gave you a sense of security can later leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed or wondering why you react the way you do.
My aim is to help you understand yourself more deeply, break free from unhelpful patterns, build healthier relationships and move towards a life that feels calmer, more connected and more fulfilling.
You may be experiencing sudden waves of fear, anger or sadness that seem to come from nowhere. Perhaps you constantly seek excitement, struggle to feel safe, or feel caught in a "damned if I do, damned if I don't" cycle.
Through trauma-informed psychotherapy and Transactional Analysis, we'll explore how your past experiences may still be influencing your present, because the body often remembers what the mind has tried to forget.
As a neurodivergent practitioner with ADHD, I am passionate about supporting adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I can help you to better understand challenges such as attention, attachment, sensory differences, emotional regulation and that feeling you have been carrying for so long - that you are different from everyone else.
Alongside therapy, I offer psychoeducation to help you make sense of your experiences, empowering you with knowledge as well as practical tools for change.
Clients often tell me they feel safe, at ease and truly heard in our sessions.
I offer psychotherapy sessions in both English and Welsh.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
