About me

My name is Rhys Vine, and I am a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. My practice is currently based at HQ Therapy Rooms in Haggerston, Hackney, London E8. I also offer online therapy sessions throughout the week. I am currently available for weekly in-person sessions on Sundays from 1pm-2pm and 3pm-4pm at HQ Haggerston, or online Monday to Thursday from 11am to 8pm,

Training, qualifications & experience

I studied at Regents University in London, where I received my Masters degree in Psychotherapy & Counselling. I bring a unique skill set from my previous experience as a Company Director, working as a creative in both the design and music industries.

I am an attentive, empathic listener with a naturally inquisitive and nurturing personality who is dedicated to understanding my clients’ emotions and concerns; establishing a real and human connection, as well as communicating ideas in a relatable and digestible way so that my clients can open up to new ways of thinking to help overcome their issues and take control of their lives.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

My aim as a therapist is to facilitate an environment in which emotional growth, healing, and the meeting of goals can take place. Although my training has been across many modalities of therapy, I tend to lean towards a more person-centred approach in my practice and believe that a strong bond between client and therapist is essential. I believe establishing a strong relationship is based on trust, honesty, and connectivity with one another, which helps to create a safe and supportive space where my clients can feel seen, heard, and understood so that meaningful change can occur.
