About me

“Who am I? How did I get here? What now?”

You may be asking these questions after discovering you're autistic, have ADHD, following abuse or trauma, bereavement, or another life event or transition.

Or perhaps something simply no longer feels right. You might feel depressed, anxious, lost, stuck or disconnected from yourself, without quite knowing why.

You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what's wrong

I don't think therapy is about making you fit more comfortably into a life that doesn't fit. We'll start where you are and explore what's true for you now, at your own pace and in your own way.

What can bring you here

  • Discovering you're autistic or have ADHD
  • Bereavement, loss or grief, and finding your way through life after loss
  • Finding yourself again after trauma, abuse, family estrangement or growing up as a twin
  • Experiences arising from mid-life, motherhood, single parenthood or other significant life changes or transitions, including anxiety and depression

These aren't boxes you have to fit into. Your reason for coming to therapy might be different, and it's welcome.

What therapy with me is like

You don't have to edit yourself.

You can swear, go off on tangents, contradict yourself, change your mind, or tell me you think I've got it wrong. You don't have to be put together, rational or easy to explain.

Therapy with me is collaborative and conversational. It's warm, empathetic and deeply human too.

I'll listen, ask questions, notice patterns and share what I'm noticing when it'll help. Sometimes I'll gently challenge you; sometimes we'll laugh. I'm an active participant, not someone who sits silently nodding while you do all the talking.

There's room here to explore who you actually are, rather than perform who you've been expected to be.

As an autistic counsellor, I understand how easily your unique experience can be reduced to a textbook definition. I make space for your way of being.

There's room for dreams, creativity or body awareness too, if that suits you. We don't have to force everything into conventional ways of working.

Thinking about working together?

If you've recognised something of yourself here, I'd love to hear from you.

You don't need to have everything figured out. Just drop me an email and I'll be in touch.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Integrative Humanistic Counselling and I'm a registered member of the Professional Standards Authority-accredited National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. My training also includes trauma-informed practice.

Alongside my private practice, I work as a counsellor within a community practice. I have experience supporting bereaved people in group settings and facilitating groups that have included space for spiritual perspectives on loss and healing.

I'm an autistic counsellor with lived experience of single motherhood, bereavement, family estrangement, relational trauma and growing up as a twin.

My work is informed by existential, transpersonal and liberation psychology, and grounded in a neuro-affirming, non-pathologising, trauma-informed approach.
