About me
Hello, my name is Rebecca,
I am a relationship and Psychosexual therapist. I am currently offering face-to-face and telephone or online counselling via Zoom. I offer couples counselling and Psychosexual therapy, as well as individual counselling. I offer creative therapy for young people. And I offer supervision for counsellors and other professionals.
There are lots of reasons why someone may come for counselling. It may be that they are trying to come to terms with a loss or are finding it difficult to cope with the stresses of everyday life. It could be their past is affecting daily life. You may be experiencing relationship difficulties or sexual problems. You may feel that you would benefit from talking to someone in a supportive and confidential environment.
My training was in therapeutic counselling. I qualified in 2007 and have since undertaken further training in CBT, Transactional Analysis and children's mental health. I have also completed a couples counselling course and worked with young people creatively. I have a First degree in BA Hons in Solution-Focused Counselling. I have undertaken a supervision qualification.
I work as a Psychosexual Therapist, working with individuals and couples experiencing sexual problems. This could be erectile dysfunction or premature ejaculation, vaginismus, painful sex or loss of desire.
I have worked with a wide range of clients, from young people to couples and individuals on the Autism spectrum. I have also worked with clients with various issues, survivors of sexual assault, abuse, and domestic violence in the voluntary sector and in my private practice.
I also have experience working and dealing with issues such as depression, eating disorders, substance misuse and phobias, PTSD and trauma, anxiety and more complex issues.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I am also a member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT)
I offer a free initial session via phone or Zoom and offer tailored sessions to clients' needs. I offer day, evening and weekend appointments via phone, online or face-to-face.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
