About me

Hello, my name is Rebecca,

I am currently offering face to face and telephone or online counselling via Zoom.

There are lots of reasons why someone may come for counselling. It may be that they are trying to come to terms with a loss or are finding it difficult to cope with the stresses of everyday life. It could be their past is affecting everyday life. In fact, someone may not even know the reason. You may feel that you would benefit from talking to someone in a supportive and confidential environment.

My training was in Therapeutic counselling I qualified in 2007, and I have since undertaken further training in CBT, Transactional Analysis and children's mental health. I have a First degree in BA Hons in Solution-Focused Counselling.

I have worked with a wide range of clients from young people, couples and individuals on the Autism spectrum.  I have also worked with clients with a variety of issues,  survivors of sexual assault and abuse and domestic violence in the voluntary sector and in my own private practice.

I also have experience working and dealing with issues such as depression, eating disorders, substance misuse and phobias, PTSD and trauma, anxiety and more complex issues.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I offer a free initial session and offer tailored sessions to clients needs.
I offer day, evenings and weekend appointments vis phone, online or face to face.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
