About me

Online/telephone sessions. Day and evening appointments available.

Welcome. Ready for change? Whatever has brought you here I am ready to help. We all struggle at times, that's a fact for us all. You may be suffering in silence, going through a major life event, have problems relating to others, need help getting back to work, stuck  in indecision, feeling depressed/anxious, struggling to feel accepted, exploring your identity/sexuality, or just in need of a change.

I can help by offering you a calm refreshing, supportive and safe opportunity to hear yourself think, express your true emotions and feelings, assess your options, find your inner strength, new insights and resources that can lead to realistic change.

Bringing light and air to feelings of shame, guilt, fear and anger can be a powerful antidote and pathway to genuine healing.

Finding the right therapist you can trust and feel at ease with is crucial to successful therapy.  That's why I offer a free no obligation 30 minute assessment session as an introduction for us and an opportunity to find out in more details what your expectations and needs are.

I am an integrative counsellor and my approach is collaborative,  working in an open and honest way alongside you.  We are all unique and I work with you to best match my life experience, skills and competencies to your needs and preferences providing you with the therapy that's effective and realistic for you.

Diverse and inclusive. I work with adults 18+ and am a proud ally of the LGBTQI community. I work with clients of varying cultural backgrounds and am of mixed heritage.

I offer a professional online (zoom or other mutually available platform) and telephone counselling service inviting you to experience therapy in the comfort and convenience of your chosen environment.

My service is open to all UK residents.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
