About me

I am a person-centred counsellor based in Altrincham, Manchester.

Offering a calm, unhurried space where you can slow down, be heard, and begin to make sense of what you’re carrying.

My approach is primarily person-centred which means I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you with curiosity and without judgement, helping you explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Where it feels helpful, I may also draw on other approaches such as CBT or creative therapy, always guided by what works best for you as an individual.

I work with adults navigating some of life’s most difficult moments, including grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and times of significant change and transition.

What I Offer:

Sometimes life brings experiences that feel too heavy to hold alone the loss of someone we love, a period of low mood, creeping anxiety, or a sense that something has shifted and we’re not sure who we are anymore. These are deeply human struggles, and counselling can offer a space to sit with them differently.

I work with:

  • Grief & loss bereavement, relationship endings, or any loss that has left its mark
  • Life transitions redundancy, retirement, identity shifts, or feeling at a crossroads
  • Anxiety & stress worry, overwhelm, panic, or a persistent sense of unease
  • Depression & low mood feelings of emptiness, hopelessness, or struggling to engage with life

Sessions are available in person in Altrincham or online via video, so you can choose whatever feels most comfortable and accessible for you.

Before committing to any sessions, I offer a free Initial Consultation (20 minutes) A relaxed, no-obligation conversation where we can meet, talk about what’s brought you to counselling, and see whether working together feels right for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
