About me

Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted? Counselling for stress, burnout, anxiety, and life transitions in Lisburn and online across the UK.

Sometimes life can begin to feel like survival mode.

You may be holding everything together on the outside while internally feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from yourself. Perhaps you are carrying the pressure of work, caring for others, family responsibilities, relationship difficulties, or a major life change — and somewhere along the way, you’ve stopped feeling like yourself.

Many of the people I work with are used to coping alone. They are often thoughtful, caring, capable people who spend so much time supporting others that their own needs get pushed aside.

You may be:

constantly overthinking or feeling mentally drained
struggling to switch off or relax
feeling emotionally burnt out
navigating a difficult life transition
experiencing high-functioning anxiety
carrying caregiver stress or people-pleasing patterns
feeling lost, stuck, or disconnected from who you are
exhausted from trying to keep going without support
Counselling offers a space where you no longer have to carry everything alone.

I offer calm, compassionate counselling for adults experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, emotional exhaustion, and life transitions. Together we can begin to make sense of what you’re feeling, understand what’s been weighing on you, and help you reconnect with yourself in a steadier, more manageable way.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on your individual needs, experiences, and personality. I believe therapy should feel human, collaborative, and emotionally safe — not clinical or overwhelming.

My approach is gentle but steady.

I work at a pace that feels manageable for you, offering a supportive and grounded space where you can speak openly without fear of judgement. I understand that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, especially when you’ve been coping alone for a long time.

My aim is not to “fix” you, but to help you better understand yourself, feel more emotionally supported, and create space for greater calm, clarity, and self-connection.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

Many of my clients come to counselling feeling emotionally depleted and anxious often after spending years prioritising everyone else’s needs above their own.

Therapy can help you begin to slow down, understand what you need, and feel more grounded in yourself again.
