Are you feeling exhausted, frustrated and confused in your current relationship? Are you looking for more trust and respect from your partner?
One-to-one counselling can help and support you in understanding more about yourself and your partner.
The counselling process can highlight the roles you take on within your relationship and provide you with a therapeutic space to make positive changes.
As your counsellor I can reassure you that I will offer you a non-judgmental and accepting therapeutic relationship, where we can explore your thoughts and feelings. I will be professional, reliable, resilient and committed to supporting you.
My practice is located in Chertsey South not far from St.Peters Hospital (Junction 11 on the M25). I am local to Ottershaw, Virginia Water, Staines, Egham, Shepperton, Chobham, Woking, New Haw, Addlestone, Weybridge and surrounding areas. I practice from a confidential and safe therapy room from my home address which is in a quiet residential road. There is ample parking available. I offer long or short term counselling.
How I work
As an Integrative Humanistic Counsellor, I integrate different approaches. This means that I combine approaches such as Person-Centred, Gestalt, TA and Existential.
Counselling and psychotherapy is an individual process and I always tailor my approach to my clients individual needs. My way of working with you is to focus on how you are feeling in the 'here and now', this allows opportunity to understand the past and the present which can then help you to move forward, feeling lighter and free from being weighed down by old baggage. Counselling allows you to become more self-aware which can have a profound effect on all aspects of your life.
I am experienced in supporting individuals of all backgrounds, sexual orientation, race and ethnicities.
I have particular experience working with Anxiety and Relationship issues.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have been training and working as a Counsellor since 2006. I have a foundation Degree in Integrative Humanistic Counselling with Greenwich University. I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) which validates me as a competent and ethical practitioner where I am bound by their ethical framework.
My counselling background comes from working with the NHS, CRUSE Bereavement Care and the Samaritans. I currently see clients at my private practice in Chertsey in addition to counselling clients with a variety of issues within the NHS.
