About me

I help people feel more at ease and able to live the life that they want to in a way that is authentic to them. I assist people in dealing with the challenges that life brings and to support them in making the changes that they would like to, with an attitude of curiosity and compassion. I do this by combining practical psychological tools with a highly empathetic approach.

The type of therapy I offer is bespoke to suit you and your needs, adapting a style and technique that best fits to you and your personality. I offer a non judgmental space with my main aim to support you, set goals and to gain awareness around behaviors ultimately to improve your satisfaction with life.
Get in touch for a free non obligation phone call where we can talk more about what you’re looking for, my practice, and whether we are a good fit. I offer both long and short term work online and in Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria. I look forward to being a part of your journey!

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a DIP in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling - The Northern Guild.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

My area of interest is working with farmers and rural workers. I currently offer a drop in centre at Crooklands Auction Mart once a month assisting the nurses on health check days. Farmers have so much to contend with from the weather, political/media influences most of which is out of their control. Breaking down stigmas that surround mental health especially with farmers is hugely important to me.
