Rachel Green CPsychol AFBPsS HCPC Psychologist, Accredited CBT Therapist
We can all get stuck in ways of thinking and looking at things that no longer work for us. Sometimes this can lead to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, overeating or addictions. Therapy can be very helpful in understanding what is happening and finding a way forward. I have worked as a Psychologist for over 15 years in the NHS and in private practice. I work on a short to medium term basis, often working towards goals that are important to you. I work in Hitchin and offer therapy on the telephone and zoom.
*I am currently offering zoom or telephone sessions I am not offering in person appointments.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified Chartered Counselling Psychologist and an associate fellow of the British Psychological Society, I trained integratively however my main models are CBT and EMDR and I use mindfulness techniques in my work. I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist and I am a CBT therapist accredited by the British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies. I have completed training in EMDR (Eye movement desensitisation reprocessing) which is a form of therapy useful for helpful clients with trauma and other conditions. My work in the NHS has involved client work but also supervising colleagues and helping to manage an IAPT service. I have also worked with the police offering EMDR.
