About me
If you have found your way to this page, chances are you are carrying a weight that has become too heavy to hold alone.
You might be feeling completely exhausted by constant anxiety, feeling deeply lonely even when surrounded by others, or trying to make sense of past trauma. Perhaps you feel stuck in patterns you can't seem to break, or feel like you have lost touch with who you really are.
My name is Rachel, and I am an experienced Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. Alongside my eight years of comprehensive training, I have spent the last four years in active clinical practice helping individuals navigate their deepest challenges. I provide a warm, honest, and dedicated space where you can finally catch your breath and heal.
I don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach to therapy. Your story is uniquely yours, which is why we will work together collaboratively, entirely at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and comfortable for you.
What We Can Explore Together
Many of the people who step into my practice have spent a long time trying to "just get on with it" before reaching out. We can work together on a wide range of difficulties, including:
- Trauma and its lasting impact (including childhood trauma and neglect)
- Sexual violence, rape, and abuse (specialist supported)
- Anxiety, panic, and overwhelming stress
- Loneliness, fear of abandonment and feeling disconnected from yourself
- Navigating ADHD or OCD (and the anxiety/overwhelm that comes with them)
- Relationship difficulties and communication struggles
- Patterns of behaviour
- Pregnancy and infant loss
- Emotional Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD/BPD) and emotional dysregulation
How We Work: Tailored to You
Because mind and body are deeply connected, I blend different therapeutic approaches to suit what you need in the moment, rather than trying to fit you into a clinical box.
Our work together may include:
- Understanding Your History (Genograms & Timelines): Mapping out your past experiences and family history to make sense of why you feel the way you do today.
- Calming Your Nervous System (Polyvagal Theory): Helping your body step out of "high alert" or survival mode, so you can find genuine calm and safety.
- Exploring Your Patterns (Transactional Analysis & Attachment): Looking at how you relate to others and helping you shift from automatic reactions to conscious, healthy choices.
- Healing the Core (Inner Child Work): Gently addressing the old, underlying wounds that keep you feeling stuck or self-critical.
Qualifications and Experience: I am a fully qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor with four years of post-training clinical practice. I hold an advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and specialist Level 4 training in Rape and Sexual Violence, as well as infant loss support.
Our Setting
In-Person: In the quiet, confidential tranquility of my dedicated garden room in [Just outside Canterbury].
Online: Via secure video sessions from the comfort of your own home.
Not Sure If This Is the Right Fit?
Reaching out to a therapist is a big step, and the relationship between us is the most important part of the healing process.
To help you decide if I am the right person to walk alongside you, I invite you to a free, informal phone consultation. This is a quiet, no-pressure space for you to ask questions, share a little bit about what is going on, and see how you feel talking to me.
There is absolutely no obligation to book. When you are ready to take that first step, I am here.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
