About me
I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor working with the gestalt approach. I work in a relational, embodied and experimental way. That means I bring myself in sometimes in order to support new awareness in you, to break old patterns and be more authentic. I will help you learn to shift your physiology to help regulate yourself, expand your range of possibilities and set boundaries, as well as discovering your own inner resources.
I believe that people are their own best experts and I see my role as supporting clients to discover themselves rather than pushing them towards predefined notions of health or success.
I have a passion working with men on a range of issues including relationship problems, addictions, low self esteem, shame, difficulty being vulnerable or asking for help and OCD.
I also enjoy working with women who identify as people pleasers, who are afraid of conflict and confrontation, with a history of anxiety, poor boundaries, avoidance, shutting down and who take on too much responsibility.
I am interested in clients whose lives involve polyamory, conscious sexuality and unconventional values/ practices.
I work in Canterbury in a designated therapy room in the garden and also work at the Awareness Centre, Clapham.

Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at Metanoia and Manchester Gestalt Centre and have a psychotherapeutic counsellor qualification.
I have also done training in somatic techniques at the Institute of Embodied Psychotherapy.
I volunteered for 2 years at Brent Bereavement Services and 2 years at Talking Counselling in London.
I have a BA in Philosophy and an MA in Creative Writing.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
