About me
Do you often feel weighed down by anxiety? Is a low mood affecting your daily life? Are you finding it difficult to make friends and experiencing times of loneliness?
Are the effects of trauma influencing your day-to-day life? Have you been impacted by childhood abuse or domestic violence?
Are you neurodiverse and received a late diagnosis? Do you need a supportive space to explore how to thrive with ADHD or Autism? Has your child been recently diagnosed, impacting your approach to parenting?
As a counsellor, my aim is to create a warm and welcoming safe space where your story can be shared, heard and valued, empowering you to navigate life's challenges with compassion and understanding, leading you to place of clarity and peace as you uncover your inner strength and resilience.
As a counsellor, I use a range of approaches and tools, depending on your needs. It may be, at times, that finding the right words can be challenging for you, so you may find that creative approaches help you explore your feelings and become aware of your choices and behaviours. From this supportive environment, you can confidently decide on the changes you wish to make and the path you want to take.
If you’re ready to begin a journey towards healing and growth, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Reach out today and let’s start this journey together.
Next Steps
Firstly - I'd be happy to have a short phone call with you if that is helpful - however it would be only 10 minutes and it would mainly be about the practicalities of the counselling process. You may find it helpful to have a look at my website too.
Secondly - We can book an Initial Assessment which is £45 for 50 minutes. This session gives us an opportunity to discover if we work well together as client and counsellor. You will be able to share in a safe and confidential space the reason you have come to counselling without feeling rushed. You will be able to ask any questions you might have about the counselling process and how I work as a counsellor. We will also go over any key paperwork so you can start your counselling journey as soon as possible
My private practice is based in Kempston and serves clients in and around Bedfordshire for face to face sessions. However, I also offer online sessions both nationally and internationally.
Training, qualifications & experience
Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
Clinical director at Spring Therapeutic Services in Kempston
I am a qualified Integrative counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I was trained in the Humanistic approach which means I explore with a client their unique experience of life events and how that effects them in the here and now. I encourage the client to take a deeper look inside to gain a better understanding of their responses and behaviours in relation to these experiences and how they might want to change them. I can also draw on other techniques and approaches depending on the needs of my client. I may at times make suggestions of tools that a client might find helpful.
I have experience in working with adults (18+) who have faced trauma stemming from domestic abuse, sexual abuse, or assault. My approach is informed by an understanding of PTSD and dissociative behaviors.
Additionally, I have experience and empathy for individuals who identify as neurodivergent.
With over a decade of experience in pastoral support, I provide compassionate support to those navigating emotional crisis and trauma.
Furthermore, I've collaborated with a homeless charity, offering counselling to clients grappling with complex life challenges.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
