About me
I am a BPC-accredited psychodynamic psychotherapist offering therapy to adults in Central London and online, in both English and Turkish.
Seeking therapy can sometimes feel like a difficult first step. You may be feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or finding yourself repeating patterns in relationships that are difficult to understand. You might be navigating a significant life transition, experiencing grief or loss, adjusting to parenthood, or struggling with questions around identity and belonging. Sometimes there is no single event, only a sense that something doesn't feel quite right.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy offers a space to slow down and think together about these experiences. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, we explore the underlying emotional patterns, relationships, and unconscious processes that may be shaping your present difficulties. As experiences become more understandable and feelings more manageable, new perspectives and greater freedom to make different choices can emerge.
My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and guided by empathy and curiosity rather than judgment. I believe that when people feel genuinely heard and understood within a safe and confidential therapeutic relationship, meaningful and lasting change becomes possible.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed four years of clinical training at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, including the Clinical Qualification in Intercultural Psychodynamic Therapy. Prior to moving to London, I completed a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology in Istanbul, where I gained experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Alongside my training in the UK, I worked within NHS services and have experience supporting adults from diverse cultural and personal backgrounds.

Member organisations

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.
BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
