About me
I provide in-person counselling and psychotherapy at my private practice in Ashtead and also online and telephone therapy throughout the UK, working with adults and young adults.
If you prefer we can also do Walk and Talk therapy where we can be outside walking together in the natural landscape.
If you're struggling or trying to make sense of your feelings and experiences or feeling overwhelmed counselling can help you. I offer a warm and welcoming place for you to talk in confidence about your emotions, about where you are and where you'd like to be. Whether you are suffering from feeling lonely, anxious, angry, fearful, sad, low mood or grieving, we can work together towards change.
Call me or email for a free 15 minute chat, without any obligation. If I'm with a client I'll respond within 24 hours.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am fully trained and qualified in counselling and therapeutic work, and use an integrated approach. This means that our work together is tailored towards you and your needs, a personal experience and a journey that we take together, at your pace.
I have extensive experience working in the NHS and local community counselling services with a wide range of client issues. My background is in education, teaching, running therapeutic settings and also previously in business.
I'm interested in helping you to understand where you are, what might have got you here, and in working with you on the changes you want to make - to your life, to your relationships and to you.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information
It's important to find a counsellor or therapist that feels a comfortable 'fit'. I offer a free 15 minute phone conversation and after talking together you can choose if you'd like to arrange an initial appointment to meet me. When you feel low or vulnerable it's hard to make the first step and talk to someone - but this is where it starts.
I hope to meet you.
