About me
I am a qualified counsellor and therapist and have worked in education and charitable settings. My aim is to help you to explore whatever difficulties, challenges or triumphs you are experiencing. Whether it be anxiety or depression, difficulties in or with a relationship or loss in all it's forms, my priority is you.
It may be that patterns of behaviour that kept you safe in the past are now holding you back from living a more authentic and fulfilling life, by identifying these patterns and being curious about the protective role they played we can begin to loosen their grip here in the present.
It is my belief that you know deep down what you need in order to grow and our work will be to reconnect with that wisdom and help it (and you) to flourish. My role is to be alongside you in order to support and help you overcome the difficulties you are facing.
It can be a daunting experience choosing someone to explore issues which are personal to you. I will work with you at your own pace and with whatever you choose to bring.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I work face to face in a private and accessible counselling room in Brighton. I offer a short initial Zoom or telephone conversation in order for us to make contact and for you to ask any questions about me or the counselling process. This session is free and there is no obligation to continue.
I also offer counselling online over the Zoom platform.
The work can be short-term (6, 12 or 24 sessions) or longer term open-ended therapy.
