About me

I offer online counselling for adults across the UK. My approach is warm, relational, trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming. I work with people who may be experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, grief, relationship loss, difficult childhood experiences, trauma, ADHD, autism, questions around identity, or the feeling that they have not been fully heard or understood.

If you are looking for a place where you can explore difficulties that feel unique to you, or if you want to better understand how you navigate the world, I can offer a safe and trusting space where you can be yourself. Counselling is not always comfortable; at times it can feel difficult or challenging. But what I can offer is a space where you can bring all of yourself and be met with care, respect and acceptance.

I am an integrative counsellor, working mainly in a person-centred and relational way. This means I pay close attention to your feelings, your experiences, and how you make sense of the world. At times, I may also draw on ideas from other approaches, such as CBT, where practical strategies may help reduce stress, anxiety or overwhelm.

I work online because I believe a meaningful therapeutic relationship can still be built through the screen. Online counselling can also offer greater choice, flexibility and accessibility, especially if travelling is difficult, leaving the house feels hard, or attending in person does not fit easily around your life.

Clients often experience me as gentle, warm and reflective. I can also be direct when it feels helpful and appropriate, always with care and respect. I do not see my role as telling you what is best for you, but as helping you understand yourself more clearly, explore your choices, and find what feels right and meaningful for you.

Reaching out can feel scary, especially if you have tried counselling before and it has not felt right. I offer an informal online introductory meeting so you can ask questions, hear my voice, see how I am in the virtual space, and decide whether working together feels like something you would like to try. If it does not feel right, that is okay. There are no strings attached.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an integrative counsellor working mainly in a person-centred and relational way. My training and continuing professional development have also included cognitive behavioural approaches, solution-focused practice, trauma-informed practice, autism-informed practice, online and telephone counselling, and clinical supervision.

I am a registered member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and work within their ethical framework. I am also registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office for data protection purposes.

My professional background includes work across support services, including children and family services, drug and alcohol services, education and pastoral care, mental health support, and emotional wellbeing training. This experience has shaped the way I work with people who may feel overwhelmed, unheard, anxious, grieving, neurodivergent, or affected by trauma and difficult life experiences.

I have experience of working online and have completed training in online and telephone counselling. I take care to ensure that online therapy remains safe, confidential, accessible and relational.

Alongside my counselling practice, I also offer online clinical supervision to qualified counsellors and student counsellors across the UK. I deliver training and teaching around clinical supervision and autism-informed practice, supporting practitioners to work reflectively, ethically and with greater awareness of neurodivergent experience.

Qualifications, training and professional development include:

  • Diploma in Person-Centred and Integrative Counselling
  • Certificate in Clinical Supervision
  • Advanced Online and Telephone Counselling Practitioner training
  • Trauma-informed practice training
  • Autism-informed practice training
  • Cognitive behavioural interventions
  • Solution-focused approaches

Additional information

I offer a free introductory online meeting. This gives us a chance to meet, talk briefly about what you are looking for, and see whether working together feels right before you commit to ongoing sessions.

There is no obligation to continue after this meeting. If you decide to access counselling elsewhere, that is absolutely okay. I am happy to support you in thinking about what kind of counselling or support may be the best fit for you.

Counselling sessions are £50 per session, payable by bank transfer before the session takes place.

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at 50% of the session fee, unless otherwise agreed.

A limited number of concessionary spaces may be available for students, people on a low income, or those experiencing financial difficulty.

Further information

I offer online counselling to adults across the UK. Sessions take place through secure online video platforms, allowing you to attend from a private space that feels comfortable and accessible for you.

Before online counselling, it can be helpful to think about where you will sit, whether you can be overheard, whether your device is charged, and whether you might want a little time after the session before returning to work, family life or other responsibilities. You are also welcome to discuss any adjustments that may help you feel more comfortable, including camera use, movement, fidget tools, note-taking or other ways of supporting your access to the session.

I offer an informal introductory meeting, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, hear my voice, see how I am online, and decide whether working together feels right for you. There is no pressure to go into anything in depth during this first conversation.

Please note that I do not offer an emergency or crisis service. If you are at immediate risk, please contact emergency services on 999, NHS 111, or Samaritans on 116 123.
