About me
I am a Psychotherapist, specialising in Family and Couples Psychotherapy.
I work with families, children and adolescents where there are relationship difficulties, as well as mental health challenges. I also offer parenting support, and behavioural strategies for children and teenagers.
I also specialise in couples therapy, using an emotionally focused approach. I have experience working with couples who are facing difficulties in their relationship, working through communication challenges and emotional distress. Additionally, I support couples who are considering separation where children are involved.
I aim to provide a warm, safe and confidential space to talk about family life, individual experiences, or anything that might be causing pain or distress.
I have worked for over 10 years with children and families in the NHS, where I practice as a Team Lead and Senior Family Therapist.
I offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation so that we can discuss a therapy tailored to your specific needs. It also gives you the opportunity to get to know me. Having a good rapport and relationship with your therapist is an important part of therapy and leads to better outcomes.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I qualified from the Tavistock and Portman Clinic as a Psychotherapist, and I am registered with the Association for Family Therapy (AFT).
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
