About me

You may have been thinking about therapy for yourself for some time now.   If you are reading this you will have already begun to embark on an ‘inner’ journey towards a greater understanding of self, your relationships, past and present, and issues of concern that may be having an adverse impact on your life right now.

Thinking about therapy and making that first contact with the Therapist is a big ‘first step’ whether a first-time user or returning to therapy after a break.   Talking in confidence to a Therapist offers new insights into your situation, the opportunity to work through painful memories in which you may feel ‘stuck, gain an understanding about destructive patterns in relationships as well as being better able to manage ongoing anxieties, negative thinking patterns, depressive thoughts and feelings and any ongoing concerns.

Why not get in touch by telephone, text or email for an initial meeting to talk about any of the above in a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space and at the same time find out whether or not you would like to think about continuing for us to work together.

I am an experienced Psychodynamic Psychotherapist of over 20 years clinical practice, having initially completed a rigorous four-year core training in Psychodynamic Studies and Psychotherapy practice at WPF Therapy in London., validated by the University of Roehampton.   In addition, I undertook a further one-year in-depth training, also at WPF Therapy, London.  I am licenced to work with clients, offering agreed once or twice weekly therapy sessions.  I continue to participate in  approved Continuing Professional Development and Clinical Supervision.

I am a registered/accredited member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and a member of the Council for Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis College (CPJA).   I adhere to the Code of Ethics of the UKCP and my practice is covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance.

I am experienced in working therapeutically with psychotherapy trainees throughout the period of their training, and beyond.

I  currently work with clients on line via Zoom.

My background:     I have an extensive and varied clinical background working within London based NHS Trusts, in addition to Leadership/Management in Public Health NHS, including working at post graduate level with universities and teaching/training NHS specialist public health clinicians.

I have a specialist Tavistock/iHV training, interest and experience working with families who experience depression and loss during  pregnancy or after the birth of their baby.

Clinical  Supervision:    I offer Supervision to Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Trainees
