About me

Sometimes we just need a space to make sense of it all. Perhaps you're feeling anxious, low, not sure what to do next.

I have a therapy room in Stockwell, SW9, near Brixton, Vauxhall, and Oval. I also provide sessions online, and walk and talk therapy. You can choose to one way, or switch as your needs change.

If you're reading this profile, maybe you’re going through a difficult moment, questioning who you are and what to do next. Perhaps you're seeking freedom from patterns that no longer serve you, or you simply want to feel better, more connected to yourself and others.

About my practice and what our work together might look like.

My path to becoming a counsellor began through my own life experiences, which led me to many years spent supporting others through their most challenging transitions. I understand what it is to reach a point where things just can’t stay the same; that understanding is at the very root of my work and shapes how I approach therapy and life. This work isn’t just something I trained to do, it’s something I believe in deeply because I have experienced first-hand how transformative it can be.

My clinical background includes delivering counselling within NHS talking therapies, which has provided me with invaluable insight into working with a diverse range of people with a spectrum of issues. It was a valuable experience, and I saw how powerful therapy can be, even when the time frame your working within is limited.

In sessions we  be might begin to explore your inner and outer world to look at how your past and current experiences are affecting you. Through this, we may notice patterns and gain an understanding of how you really feel and think, helping to make sense of it all. We may look at what tools and approaches work for you, whether that is reflecting on past experiences, exploring how you relate to yourself and others, or bringing awareness to your body and sensations.

Sessions provide a safe, supportive space to feel, reflect, and explore what matters most to you, changing with your needs as life unfolds in unexpected ways, as life tends to do.

People come to therapy for many reasons. Some of the things I can support you with include;

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Depression and low moods
  • Grief and loss in all its forms
  • Addiction and recovery
  • LGBTQ+ related experiences and challenges
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Health issues
  • Work related difficulties
  • Life transitions and uncertainty
  • Self-esteem and confidence
  • Emotional overwhelm and regulation
  • Experiences of discrimination
  • Challenges related to migration or adjusting to life in a new country or location
  • Patterns in thoughts, behaviours, or relationships
  • Exploring identity and sense of self

I offer a free 20-minute online session to see if we are a good fit. To book this, please use the website link at the top of this profile.

Training, qualifications & experience

I'm a registered therapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), trained in integrative counselling. This means I have studied a range of approaches, including psychodynamic, person-centred, and somatic. I draw on them in ways that suit each client’s unique needs.

Alongside my counselling work, I have over 20 years of experience as a lead support specialist, helping people navigate anxiety, depression, addiction, mental health challenges, and complex life circumstances, including supporting migrants, refugees, and people who are homeless. This experience helps me offer therapy that is supportive, down-to-earth, and shaped by a genuine awareness of people’s experiences

I work ethically and professionally within the BACP framework, providing a safe, confidential space. I continue to develop my skills and explore new approaches to ensure the work is responsive, collaborative, and tailored to each person I work with.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
