About me

I take a warm and flexible approach to therapy, combining a range of techniques to best support each individual through challenges like anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship difficulties. I use Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help manage overwhelming emotions by breaking them down into smaller, more manageable pieces, and Psychodynamic Therapy to explore the unconscious factors that may be influencing current thoughts and behaviours. I also offer Person-Centred Therapy, where clients can feel heard and empowered to take the lead in their own healing process.

I understand that everyone is unique, so I tailor my approach to meet the specific needs and goals of each person I work with. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, or relationship struggles, my aim is for you to leave each session feeling more self-aware, with practical tools to cope with life’s challenges, and a deeper understanding of yourself. By working collaboratively, I draw on my experience with a variety of therapeutic techniques to help you feel supported, confident, and capable of making positive changes in your life.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a registered counsellor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a recent graduate of the Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Counselling from the University of East London.

As part of my training, I completed my initial 100 counselling hours at The Henry Centre and with Choose Therapy online. Through these experiences, I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients in both in-person and online settings, allowing me to develop a flexible, client-centred approach while maintaining a professional and supportive environment tailored to individual needs.

In addition to my clinical experience, I have been actively growing my own private practice. This has involved managing client relationships, maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards, as well as refining my business and administrative skills. Establishing my practice has given me invaluable experience in self-management and providing consistent, high-quality care to clients on their personal journeys toward growth and healing.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
