About me

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and you don’t have to face it alone. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, ADHD, anger, or the pressures of neurodivergence, the right support can help you feel calmer, clearer, and more in control.

In our first session, we’ll begin with a relaxed conversation about the counselling agreement, along with any questions or concerns you may have. We’ll also explore any previous counselling experience, your thoughts about therapy, and what has brought you here now.

As an integrative counsellor, I work holistically and recognise the connection between mind and body. Our sessions will mainly involve talking therapy, but we may also look at whether habits, patterns, or lifestyle factors are affecting how you feel. Where appropriate, I may draw on guidance aligned with NICE recommendations for anxiety and depression.

My approach is warm, flexible, and confidential, offering a safe space to explore what’s going on at your own pace. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply need someone to listen, you are welcome here.

I draw on psychodynamic, person-centred, and CBT approaches, tailoring our work to suit your needs. I believe counselling works best when it feels collaborative, with your voice, experience, and wellbeing at the centre. Together, we can work toward greater clarity, strength, and hope.

I am a registered member of the BACP and committed to working ethically and professionally. If you’d like to explore whether I’m the right counsellor for you, please feel free to get in touch for an informal chat, or please visit my website for more information:

Training, qualifications & experience

Alongside my passion for helping people find clarity and confidence, I hold a university counselling diploma awarded at distinction level, ensuring a strong foundation in ethical and effective therapeutic practice. My experience is not only in supporting adults and includes helping secondary school-aged clients as they navigate challenges during adolescence, offering sensitive, age-appropriate support in a safe setting. I have also taught counselling skills at both college and university levels which has reinforced my belief in the power of compassionate support and lifelong learning for us all.

Whether you’re a young person, a parent, or simply someone looking for a bit of support, my background allows me to offer an informed and sensitive approach tailored to where you are right now.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Our first session will include a brief discussion of the counselling agreement, along with any questions or concerns you may have. We will then talk about any previous counselling experience, your thoughts about therapy, and what has brought you here.

I work holistically, recognising the connection between mind and body. While our sessions will primarily involve talking therapy, we may also explore whether physical habits, patterns, or lifestyle factors are contributing to emotional distress. Where appropriate, I may also draw on guidance aligned with NICE recommendations for anxiety and depression.

I work best with people who feel ready to begin a process of self-understanding and change. If that resonates with you, I invite you to read the final section below about my approach, and to get in touch using the contact form. I look forward to hearing from you.
