About me
Specialist therapy for OCD and Eating Disorders so you can live a happier, healthier life.
If you or a loved one is struggling with OCD or an eating disorder it can be incredibly distressing and serious. Talking to a specialist who understands the complex issues around OCD or anorexia and bulimia is your first step towards recovery. You can be free from obsession with anxiety, food, body image and exercise.
In my private practice I offer specialist therapy for those suffering from eating disorders and for partners and families. I work online as well as face-to-face in Bethnal Green, London E2.
I have extensive experience working in the NHS National OCD and Eating Disorder Services. I still work there part time on the in-patient ward at South West London and St Georges Hospital alongside a large team of doctors, psychologists, dieticians, occupational therapists, and specialist nurses. This supports and informs my practice as a private therapist.
There is no need to have a prior diagnosis or to have been referred by another professional to have an initial conversation or start therapy.
We can work together to find a way out of the tangle of thoughts and behaviours into a better life. Whether it is anorexia, bulimia, binge-eating disorder, ARFID, OSFED, overeating or some combination of these or their common companions, anxiety, depression, OCD, autism and addiction, recovery is possible and there is a way out.
How I Work
I work on Zoom or face-to-face. My practice is 8 minutes' walk from Bethnal Green tube on the Central Line or 9 minutes from Cambridge Heath Overground.
I will strive to meet you with unconditional positive regard, with compassion and empathy. I'll work alongside you to nurture a space where you feel you can bring all of yourself, and meet even the most painful, shamed or secret parts without judgment or criticism. I believe in creating a space where you can feel truly seen and heard.
I work fully concordantly with 12-step addiction recovery programmes.
The First Session
In the first session we will explore your unique situation, what you hope for or expect from therapy and what help you most need. Good therapy works through a good relationship so it's important to find the right therapist, and sometimes this doesn't happen straight away. And that’s okay. This is to find out if I am the right therapist for you, or to signpost where you can get the best help.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
