About me
I am a highly experienced, British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and as a trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, with over 15 years of professional experience working across educational, community, and clinical settings.
My career began in education, where I worked as a teacher and a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Officer in various local authorities in and around London. During this time, I developed a deep understanding of the emotional and psychological challenges faced by children, adolescents, and families -particularly those navigating anxiety, trauma, and other complex difficulties. This experience inspired my transition into psychological therapy, where I could provide more specialised mental health support.
I now specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and EMDR, two evidence based therapies that are highly effective in helping people overcome a wide range of psychological difficulties. I work collaboratively with clients to help them understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, and to develop practical strategies that lead to meaningful and lasting change.
I have extensive experience supporting individuals with:
- Anxiety and excessive worry
- Health and Social Anxiety
- Binge Eating Disorder
- Depression and low mood
- Trauma and post-traumatic-stress (including Religious and Cultural Trauma/Narcissistic Abuse)
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Panic attacks and phobias
- Low self-confidence and self-esteem
- Stress and burnout
- Emotional difficulties
My therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each individual. I aim to create a safe and supportive space and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward. Whether you are experiencing long-standing difficulties or going through a challenging period in your life, therapy can help you gain clarity, develop resilience and build healthier patterns of thinking and behaviour.
With my combined background education, mental health, and trauma-informed therapy, I bring a broad perspective and a deep commitment to helping people achieve lasting psychological wellbeing.
