About me

I help people to help themselves when battling with anxiety, depression and low self self esteem. I will listen to you and look at the world from your point of view in a non-judgemental, safe and confidential environment. I can work side by side with you to change your negative thinking patterns and allow you to finally feel free of those restraints. We'll take it step by step together and work at a pace you feel comfortable with.

I have training and experience in working with improving self confidence and self esteem, anxiety, depression plus communication and assertiveness.

I also help with many other issues and I'm here to listen to you. I know it can be hard to reach out for help and I want to say to you, well done, you've taken that first step towards feeling better! Help is always available for you and you don't have to carry on feeling the way that you do. Things can change for the better and I believe that you have the power within you to make that change.

I work online and over the phone so I can help you whoever and wherever you are.

Email, text or call me if you would like any more information or to book an appointment. I offer a free telephone consultation. I aim to to respond to new enquiries within 24 hours.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Certificate in Counselling and psychotherapy and a Post-Graduate Diploma in counselling and psychotherapy, both attained at Staffordshire University. I have 5 years counselling experience with a range of issues. I also have a years experience counselling NHS staff members in the NHS Staff Support Service.

I have training in building self confidence and self esteem and communication skills. I also have training working with stress, anxiety and depression.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
