About me

Are you struggling with the challenges of being neurodivergent? Would you like to learn how to thrive with your neurodivergence? You may have a diagnosis, be self-identifying or just curious.

I am a neurodivergent affirming counsellor who has a special interest in working and supporting adults with ADHD, Autism and AuDHD. Are you experiencing anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem? Have feelings of being overwhelmed or burnout? Some of the challenges of ADHD, Autism and AuDHD may be impacting on your behaviours, relationships, work or education/study which can lead to a lack of confidence and difficulties in achieving your goals.

Whether you are self-identifying, have a diagnosis, or just want to know more, with compassion and empathy, I can offer a very safe, confidential, accepting and non-judgemental space where you will be heard and understood. We can work together to understand your unique experiences and explore and make sense of the challenges you currently face.

As well as having experience in a wide range of issues, I use an integrative approach to therapy, where I am able to flexibly draw on different approaches to understand and meet your needs, support your growth towards self-acceptance, help you make positive changes and fulfil your potential as you move towards better mental health and wellbeing.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Person Centred counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a BA Hons in Social Sciences.

I have completed further training and hold additional certification as an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider.

I have over five years of experience supporting the mental health of young people. Alongside my private practice, I currently work within the NHS at a GP's surgery and also for a bereavement charity.

I hold professional indemnity insurance and I am DBS checked.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
