Hello, my name's Nicola, and if you're looking for a counsellor or supervisor, I may be able to help.
I work in a way which puts you, the client, and whatever's important to you, at the very centre of our work together. I'm not there to tell you what to do, or to take decisions away from you - I offer a safe space where you can explore your world at your own pace, and make choices for yourself. If a thought, feeling, or experience is holding onto you and is making it difficult for you to move forward, the work we do can help you to break free of these and allow you to have the future you want.
If you're looking to find a supervisor, again, I can offer you that accepting, non judgemental space to explore, reflect and to develop your practice in a safe, ethical way. I work with supervisees who counsel clients of all ages, couples and individuals.
If you'd like to know more about how this could help you, or to book an initial session, please get in touch.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Training, qualifications & experience
Since qualifying as a counsellor, it's been my privilege to have worked with many clients aged from 6 to 72, each with their own issues and unique path to follow.
I'm Clinical Lead at CASY, a children's and young people's counselling charity and before that I worked at the Central Notts branch of Mind.
I am also a qualified supervisor, working with both trainee and qualified counsellors, and am able to offer group and individual supervision.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
