About me

Hello,

I am a Creative Counsellor, Supervisor and Coach working with individuals and couples who want lasting change in their lives.

I am based in Pudsey and provide a high quality Counselling Service for the people of Leeds; Horsforth, Bradford, Calverley, Stanningley, Pudsey, Farnley, Morley, Headingley, Bramley, Drighlington and Gildersome.

I work face to face in The Caravan Clinic, Online via Zoom and Outdoors in the woods near Pudsey

I am guessing you are here because you’ve got something going on in your life that’s become too hard to deal with on your own. You’ve realised you need some help, and here you are.

Searching for someone to come alongside you and help you out of the place you are in.

You’ve found me. Welcome to my profile.

Maybe you are a mum with children, confused about your identity and career, bruised from having babies, feeling lost but your heart is telling you there is more.

You just don’t know how to get it because you’ve lost your confidence. You’ve got beautiful children, but it’s relentless and exhausting.

Or maybe something has broken you and you are not sure how to put the pieces back together again. Struggling with anxiety, depression and worry.

I can help you find a way out so you can sleep better, worry less and live the fulfilled life you deserve.

I work with:

  • Neurodivergence, new diagnosis or exploring the possibility that you might be
  • Pre and post-natal issues including Birth Trauma, Depression and Anxiety
  • Adjusting to motherhood And returning to work
  • Relationship issues, Couples and individuals
  • Bereavement, Loss and Change
  • Depression, stress and anxiety
  • And other issues.

Couples Counselling

Couples Counselling is an opportunity to explore difficulties in your relationship in a safe place that we create together. Couples work is usually brief (6-12 sessions) with the specific aim of interrupting and redirecting outmoded patterns of communication. And create new healthy ways of relating.  The aim of couples therapy isn't always to help you stay together. Part of the work may be to help you work out if you want to stay in your relationship.

Benefits of Working with Me

Working with me a Creative Counsellor AND Coach means having someone who both helps you deal with the past then enables you to have focused priorities for the future.

  • I will help you turn your chaos into calm.
  • You will gain clarity about your situation.
  • We will work in innovative and creative ways so you can gain a better understanding of the issues you bring.
  • Give you time and safe safe to explore the issues you want to bring

What happens in a session?

Come and spend 50 minutes with me in the privacy of my Caravan Clinic, Online or Outdoors.

The time is yours. If you want to claim some peace, let’s sit in silence.  If you want to create I’ll have plenty of resources to hand. And if you want to talk my ears and heart are open.

Whatever you choose I will listen.

What do I do now?

Send me an email I can answer any of your questions about working with me and arrange your initial session.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

With warmth,

Nicola

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
