About me
Hello, I am Nicola and I offer professional, in-person counselling in calm and peaceful wellbeing centres in the village's of Billingshurst or Petworth. Whether you’re looking for short-term support or something more ongoing, I’m here to help you with whatever challenges you're facing—whether it’s depression, anxiety, family issues, low self-esteem, loss, grief, life changes, or any other difficult emotions that we all face from time to time.
In a warm, comfortable, safe, and confidential space, we’ll explore what’s bringing you to counselling, whether it’s past trauma, current struggles, or worries about the future. There are no limits to what we can talk about.
I am often asked what can you expect in the counselling sessions?
I’ll be there to listen as you share your life and relationships, and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Over time, the therapeutic relationship we build will help you look at your early experiences, your current experiences, how you connect and relate with others and much more. I use a mix of therapeutic approaches that can help you make sense of the connections between your past and present. You’re always welcome to ask questions and we can reflect on how the process is going for you.
How can counselling help you?
Counselling can lead to a greater sense of well-being and a more fulfilling life in several ways:
* Feeling truly heard may help you manage your emotions in a new way.
* Gaining practical tools can give you more control over overwhelming feelings.
* Growing your self-awareness can help you live more in the present, rather than getting stuck in the past or worrying about the future.
* Developing awareness will support healthier connections in all your relationships around you.
*With support, you may feel more empowered to make changes in areas of your life that feel unsatisfying or are making you unhappy.
Finding the right counsellor for you.
I know that reaching out for counselling can feel daunting. If you have any questions or want to book an initial 20-minute appointment to explore if we’re the right fit, feel free to get in touch. You can email me or call 07836 235772, and I’ll aim to respond within 24 hours. Thank you

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
