About me
During the Coronavirus crisis, I am only able to offer Telephone and Online Video Counselling sessions.
Hello and welcome,
My name is Nicola. I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist and relationship counsellor. I support and work with individuals and couples who are experiencing a wide range of issues from, anxiety, depression, addictions, relationship issues, separation, divorce, low self-esteem, anger and bereavement.
I have worked in a variety of settings including the Relate institute, counselling agencies, and as part of a mental health team. I now work mainly in private practice.
My practices are situated in Coulsdon Surrey CR5 and Balham.London SW17.
I use a psychodynamic approach which recognises that current difficulties can be linked to earlier life experiences. I also work within an integrative model which includes aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), systemic and humanistic. This means I use different theoretical models as appropriate to each person's individual issues, to help them to explore and work through their difficulties.
As a therapist I aim to.provide a secure, welcoming, and confidential space to help you make sense of your thoughts and emotions from your unique perspective.
Choosing the right therapist is an important process, and I understand that taking the first steps to seek counselling can feel a daunting experience and because of this, I offer an initial 30 minute consultation for £30.00 to give you the chance to meet with me and see if you feel comfortable with me and the way in which I work.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
